My relatives lived in Frankfurt, so I visited the city and all of the significant places mostly one time per week during my childhood. My girlfriends and me made our very first shopping and cinema experiences there and with every year that passed by I got to know another museum, the opera, another shop or restaurant. And now I study there. This city feels like home and I associate so many memories with it. But I also spot new places or rediscover places of my childhood almost every time I visit the city. So here’s a little Frankfurt guide with some small moments of joy you can only experience in this city. (Of course there are many more great things to do and to see in Frankfurt. But all of these things I did this week so I wanted to make kind of a mix between a photo diary and a guide with this post. Enjoy!)
When in Frankfurt…
… enter breakfast heaven at Waldens and feel like a character of Gossip Girl – fresh pressed orange juice <3 Dorota?! We want more!
… visit the Eiserner Steg and enjoy the love around this place!
… stroll through the huge Hugendubel (a book shop) and the section with all the beautiful classics. I love Jane Austen!
… count the skyscrapers
… eat a huge Pizza (this is only the half!) at L’Osteria Westhafen
…visit the Westhafen
… eat ice cream on the Mainufer (I loved bittersweet chocolate!), visit a museum (my favourite? Städel of course) and be happy about a beautiful sunset!
.. bye bye Frankfurt, see you soon!
